The Hexcell DDSY1088/DDS1088 is a single-phase RF card prepaid/postpaid energy meter designed for residential and commercial electricity metering applications. It supports the “pay first, use electricity later” model, allowing utilities to collect electricity payments before energy consumption and helping reduce payment collection risks.
Users can recharge electricity through an RF card, while utilities can also use remote meter reading systems for data collection and management. The meter supports flexible tariff management, including multi-tariff and tiered electricity pricing, making it suitable for different electricity pricing policies.
The meter can communicate with an AMI system through interfaces and communication technologies such as RS485 and LoRa, while additional communication options include IR, PLC, 2G/4G and LoRaWAN. This enables remote energy data collection, meter management and electricity consumption monitoring.
The meter also provides configurable control and monitoring functions, including recharge management, arrears switch-off, automatic switch-off, freezing of electricity consumption data, fault/event recording and automatic meter reading.
